SAILING/YACHTING – SOLENT, GREECE OR CARIBBEAN? -

Outline -

All options for sailing come in the form of either using a specialist yachting company that has bare boats as one of their options where I provide the skipper and local knowledge to that area. Examples are: The Solent for a 3 day cruise, 6 days in the Greek Islands (Skiathos and Skopolos), the BVI’s that has the Tortola Island as its base. These are operated by a variety of yacht agencies. All have a variety of yachts to suit your comfort levels. For Whom? Designed for complete beginners to competent sailors who just want a “chauffer” to guide them around the areas showing you all the great places that you may never see if you did it on your own. All boats have cooking and good toilet facilities and would come with all relevant associated bedding.

Boat options –

These can be from the basic 32’ up to large 65’ (which would require the crew / guests to get involved in the sailing). There is scope to teach and guide individuals in the basic of yachting. If you are looking to buy a boat and not sure about if it is for you then do a “bareboat” option to see if you like the sun, sail and sea option.

Guiding facilities –

This takes the form of two options that start from the lowest cost of self-guiding using a boat within a flotilla with me as your skipper, following the itinerary of the flotilla. Or rent the boat yourself and pick and mix your route as and where you see fit.

Advice and other info -

Having taken numerous bare boats and worked in the flotilla circuit in Greece the knowledge gained in local areas of the “Sporades Islands” I can provide you with numerous options to explore areas you would have not have visited.

The Caribbean offers also a fantastic sailing opportunity that is unique but mainly uses Catamarans for sailing weeks.

Dates are all year round but generally from Apr – Oct in the Med and Oct – Apr in the Caribbean
